“Where stories live, memories remain.”
Saradise Gallery proudly presents ‘Memories from Bumi Kenyalang’ its first art exhibition in Singapore and to introduce our home, Sarawak also known as Bumi Kenyalang – the land of the rhinoceros hornbill. A place rich in diverse culture and ethnic beauty.
Spreading the wings of Kenyalang, this maiden exhibition showcase reminiscence of treasured precious moments along their artists’ journey. Each featured artist comes from different background, different ethnicity and staying in different parts of Sarawak. The artworks are evocation of the artists’ depictions of nature, flora and fauna, way of life, to the people of Sarawak.
‘Memories from Bumi Kenyalang’ highlights the works of 9 Sarawakian blooming artists – Angelina Bong, David Chew, Dr. Emmanuel Osakue, Faizuan Mat, Gerald Goh, Greg Wee, Johnny Tang, Leonard Siaw and Mary Anne Vaz.
This collection of artworks features a wide range of artistic styles -each piece holds a narrative in its own way, whether it be subtle or intense.
